SURFMEPP Systems Engineering & Propulsion - Noblis

Responsibilities

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) was established to provide centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP). 

• SURFMEPP’s System Engineers provide database management for assigned systems in M&SWP. 
• Propulsion Systems Engineering staff will use Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to develop, maintain Class Maintenance Plan requirements for surface ship propulsion systems under the guidance of senior personnel. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field. An Associates degree or 6 years of additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
• 1 to 4 years of relevant professional experience
• Understanding of reliability centered maintenance
• Experience related to propulsion systems
• DOD SECRET Security Clearance is required

Desired Qualifications

• Use of MS Office Suite tools
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Navy Maintenance Databases
• Experience with depot-level ship maintenance through shipyard, RMC, or active-duty experience

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
