DESCRIPTION:
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – This position provides administrative support and is responsible for obtaining, organizing and transferring supporting documentation to support the Dispute Resolution department in pursuing legal actions. This position will focus on obtaining documentation for legal actions for internal and external clients. The Support Specialist will work closely with the Director of Payment Compliance – Dispute Resolution and Manager of Payer Analysis – Operation/Systems to prioritize work efforts in the most efficient and effective manner.
SUPERVISOR – Manager of Payer Analysis – Operation/Systems
OPERATIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provides support to the Dispute Resolution Department by pulling specific documents for client dispute issues.
Work with Payer Analysis Director and Manager of Payer Analysis to obtain additional supporting information as needed from Payment Compliance units.
Develop on-going framework for submitting documentation to internal and external legal counsel.
Perform and complete assigned task by completion date.
Maintain electronic filing system of documents for Dispute Resolution issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Organization - proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages resources
Communication - communicates clearly and concisely
Ownership – takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows through on outstanding issues
PC skills - skilled in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
Teambuilding - demonstrates ability to foster and perform in a team-building environment
EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
3 years as legal or administrative assistant experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS - Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
