Support Services Technician 

1st Shift

8:00am-4:30pm

Bettendorf, IA

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides non-technical services for the care of the patient.  Performs work of routine difficulty in a variety of cleaning tasks that involve use of hazardous chemicals, heavy lifting in patient rooms, and in the operating rooms (and other surgical areas) of the hospital. Also performs secretarial duties, answers phones, spreadsheet documentation, filing, ordering of supplies. 

Clinical Care Support 

• Assist in transport of patients 

• Orients patients and/or families to hospital routine 

• Identify and promote safe patient environment 

• Performs secretarial duties including but not limited to: filing, data spreadsheets, supply ordering, kronos timekeeper, answering phones.

Technical Care Support 

• Efficient and effective room turnover to include but not limited to mopping, sweeping, dusting, stocking supplies and generalized OR room preparation.  

• Moving and cleaning of equipment

• Follows safe operating procedures for the department and utilizes supplies in a cost effective manner.  

Education: High school graduate or equivalent 

License(s)/Certification(s): CPR
