Job Description:
- We are seeking a dedicated Support Engineer to manage our extensive video management system, which includes over 65,000 cameras.
- This role requires interaction with various system management teams and customers to support over 650 servers, 28,000 cameras, and 4,000 users.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting complex, hardware & software-intensive systems in a mission-critical environment.
- Provide Level 2 support for all cameras in the video system.
- Offer backend server application support for all video infrastructure.
- Deliver on-site and remote user-based support for video clients.
- Assist Infrastructure with Microsoft patching, reboots, and validation.
- Interface with Argus support to adjust camera views.
- Install and integrate new cameras into Genetec and support Customer, Stakeholder, and Argus cameras.
- Re-add and integrate camera replacements.
- Collaborate with various teams to provide support for multiple applications that utilize video management systems and cameras.
- Conduct, organize, prepare, and represent documentation for an Architecture & Engineering review board for new project implementations with all stakeholders.
- Provide clear and continuous communication to stakeholders on project progress and status.
- Guide and mentor project team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures, including change management, outage notifications, service ticketing, and updates.
- Collaborate with project managers and team leads to provide detailed updates on all projects and workflows.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines and adjusting to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to debate, dialogue, negotiate, influence, and work collaboratively and constructively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of network protocols and transport as it relates to video.
- Genetec SC/Omnicast Certification.
- Located within 30 miles of at least one of the 5 boroughs since travel to the NYC area is mandatory.
- Willingness to deploy physical video management hardware to locations throughout the 5 boroughs.
- Ability to maintain and develop detailed device and application documentation, including procedural, As-Built, and video camera configurations.
- Ability to represent us as the primary customer interface for video management and engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of video surveillance implementation and support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook
- Highly skilled in MS Excel and MS Visio.
