About the Job
Primary Duties:
- Represents the company design team during the weekly construction meetings, as organized by the resident engineer. These meetings may take place anywhere within Puerto Rico and the island of Vieques.
- Take detailed notes during the meeting, as appropriate, to support the design oversight services.
- Interface with the Engineer of Record (EOR) and other company design resources to provide technical responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, and other submittals.
- Monitor, track and support the timely response to technical Requests for Information (RFIs) issued by the construction contractor or other party to the construction contract.
- Monitor, track and support the timely response to technical shop drawings and other submittals issued by the construction contractor or other party to the construction contract.
- Prepares individual monthly reports to evidence the services provided.
- Provides assistance and support to proposal teams or proposal managers.
- Supports the technical delivery of water/wastewater projects, as directed by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited program preferred. Other educational programs may be considered.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in design, field duties or a combination.
- Full bilingual capability in English/Spanish is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Puerto Rico desirable, but not mandatory.
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Moderate to substantial ground travel expected
