About the Job
Support Specialist Coordinator
- To facilitate, supervise, and maintain quality assurance as well as ensure compliance as outlined in the policies & procedures of CDS for all Home and Community-Based Settings services offered. To develop appropriate ISP goals/objectives with a “person centered” approach to individuals affected by Intellectual Disabilities. Complete quarterly reports for an assigned caseload.
- Provide routine supervision as well as on-call administrative support to Support Specialist/Residential Support Specialist when they are providing direct care and services to program participants.
- Special Requirements: All Coordinators may be expected to work hours outside of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or emergencies. Must qualify at least as a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) or a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP).
Reports to: Director of Residential Services
"Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP)" means a person who possesses at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who has an intellectual disability or other developmental disabilities and one of the following credentials: (i) a doctor of medicine or osteopathy licensed in Virginia, (ii) a registered nurse licensed in Virginia, or (iii) completion of at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field, including, but not limited to sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.
Salary
25 - 27 /hour
