POSITION PURPOSE:
In office position. Supports the Aftermarket Services group and be responsible for the sourcing and delivery of a portfolio of equipment and services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Procure specialized industrial and manufacturing material, equipment, and services.
- Appraise vendors for quality of product and service.
- Request quotes and prepare bid packages for Aftermarket team.
- Negotiate service provisions and prices.
- Analyze and evaluate proposals; select or recommend vendors. Participate as member of Procurement team to discuss best practices across the organization.
- Create Master Supply Agreement; seek approval on legal documents.
- Negotiate Terms & Conditions within a contractual framework.
- Administer purchase orders and input information into business operations software. Upkeep expected and actual delivery dates.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Verify delivery through vendor provided tracking information and approve vendor invoices for payment.
- Interface with various levels of management in other functional departments as needed (i.e. Project Management, Engineering, Logistics, Contracts Management, Quality, Inventory Management and Manufacturing).
- Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external company customer contacts, maintaining effective customer relationships.
- Coordinate Supplier Program, including but not limited to purchase order administration, program reviews, expediting delivery, invoice corrections, trade agreements and vendor performance evaluations.
- Contribute actively to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
- Utilize formal processes and tools to manage information in a timely and accurate manner.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline required
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- 1-3 years’ experience in supply chain required
- Must have knowledge of supply chain management practices and general knowledge of industry best practices
- Must possess proficient computer skills and familiarity with MS Office products; ability to use various business operations software to manage information
- Ability to read blueprints and demonstrated performance is preferred
