Our Integrated Supply Chain Department is seeking Sourcing/Procurement Specialists to join their team in our Corporate Office, Juno Beach, FL. This position is responsible for executing the sourcing process for assigned areas of spend/commodities directed towards providing contracted services and/or materials for business operations. The Sourcing/Procurement Specialist prepares sourcing agreements containing limited changes to the company's standard terms and conditions by working with the respective Business Unit contacts as well as legal experts. In this position you will develop both negotiation skills and commercial acumen as well as a greater understanding of how NextEra Energy delivers value to their customers.
We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize purchasing value for our company. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication, strategy, contracting skills, negotiating skills, along with analytical abilities.
Previous Sourcing, Supply Chain Management or Contract Management experiences are strongly preferred.

This position orders material and ensures availability for an assigned business area. This includes forecasting and planning material needs and coordinating movement. In addition this position initiates, negotiates and contracts spot buys and manages related suppliers. Key responsibilities include: Responsibilities: Execute the materials management process for assigned areas (production planning, replenishment, blanket purchase orders, inventory stocking levels, evaluation and negotiation of routine procurements); interact with assigned operating business units, legal experts, and ISC personnel; interact externally with the supplier community and industry analysts Able to physically receive, issue, warehouse and ship materials as required Initiate, negotiate and contract spot buys and manage related suppliers. Analyze responses to simple material bid requests including the ability to distill commercial differences and bring forward succinct recommendations for assistance in selecting the appropriate supplier for contract award with management oversight, commiserate with experience and knowledge. Prepare simple materials supply agreements containing standard terms and conditions with limited management oversight. Conduct simple negotiations successfully. Negotiate and execute purchase orders. Participate on materials management project teams. Recommend and communicate materials management strategy, progress and results to supervision and ISC management. Develop and maintain relationships with business units and suppliers. Provide market data to support supplier selection, qualification and on-going performance management. Drive down the total cost of ownership. Develop new sources of supply for spot buys and monitor ongoing supplier performance. Resolve invoice discrepancies. Assist in managing the external spend. Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations. Requirements: Undergraduate degree with a preference in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related fields preferred. Entry level materials management position. Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills required. | |||

- Continuously research and analyze market intelligence, industry trends, and benchmarking data to develop sourcing insights and stay current on industry best practices.
