Supply Chain Solutions Analyst II, Continuous Improvement
The Supply Chain Solutions Analyst II, Continuous Improvement will develop, execute, monitor, and report the progress of continuous improvement projects set forth by the Supply Chain Solutions Group. The SCSA Analyst II will be responsible for developing and executing the entire project management spectrum from requirements gathering and planning through execution and signoff. They will develop their own project management, communication, and CI skills, while building Supply Chain business acumen. They will map processes, analyze work and information flows for standardization, automation and optimization opportunities, and analyze data to determine efficacy and control of CI projects, always seeking the most optimal solution. They will be the primary process engineers for Supply Chain Solutions processes, improvement projects, and technologies. The SCSA II requests predictive, prescriptive analysis from SC Business Intelligence, perform experiments (full projects) for SCBI and feeds SCBI the resultant data to BI for analysis.
Essential Functions
- Understands opportunities for business process improvement, and seeks to learn and document underlying and existing business processes.
- Develops Business Requirements and Product Requirements documents for Technology improvements.
- Develops User Acceptance Test criteria and tests new functionality before it is deployed to production environments.
- Participates in software design discussions aimed at identifying the best solution to address business needs.
- Documents and monitors business processes, business rules, metrics and standard operating procedures of improvement initiatives and Supply Chain.
- Analyzes different solutions for ROI, CBA, and feasibility to determine best solution.
- Establishes methods and coordinates implementation of new processes and technology throughout the Supply Chain department.
- Executes other projects and tasks as identified and assigned.
- Executes solutions to be simple, yet impactful and provide results that are tangible and measurable.
- Ensure seamless transition of business process during change management.
- Manage several projects with shifting priorities and timeframes
- Stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies that can support process improvement.
- Plans and implements projects
- Helps define project scope, goals and deliverables
- Tracks deliverables
- Presents to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
- Implements and manages change when necessary to meet project outputs
- Evaluates and assesses results of projects
- Constantly drives process improvement by leveraging out-of-the-box thinking & exploring creative avenues.
- Performs ad hoc tasks as delegated by management
- Records and reports actions taken throughout many departmental processes, for the purpose of analysis support and SOP generation
- Monitors and follows up on actions required from external parties for existing improvement projects.
- Designs, illustrates, and publishes flow charts, decision trees, SOPs, charts, calendars and multiple other visualizations in support of documentation, project management and communication
- Promotes and develops a continuous improvement culture across the department

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 Years – Supply Chain, IT, Engineering or similar
- 2 Years – Data Analysis, Data Science, Data Presentation Architecture and/or Statistics
- 2 Years – Business Process Improvement, Continuous Improvement, Business Process Engineering *experience may include a combination of work experience and education
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 Years – Supply Chain, IT, Engineering or similar
- 4 Years – Data Analysis, Data Science, Data Presentation Architecture and/or Statistics
- 4 Years – Business Process Improvement
- 4 Years – Manufacturing Supply Chain Experience
- 4 Years – Supply Chain in a large, multiple data source environment

Competencies

- Supply Chain Engineering and data analysis
- Strong business acumen, coupled with the ability to communicate findings to both business and IT leaders in a way that can influence how an organization approaches a business challenge
- Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain and ERP software such as Oracle EBS, OTM and EDI.
- Ability to model and Supply Chain problems using Excel and other systems, and recommend solutions
- Hands-on experience of using MS Excel
- Knowledge of Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI is a plus

Education
- Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
- Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or MBA.
