- Develop and lead sales strategies for the Domestic Tank & Intermodal Business Model, with a focus on Canada and the Midwest, targeting shippers, NVOs, and 3PLs.
- Create business plans to grow the customer base, increase shipment volume, and boost revenue while maintaining profitability.
- Negotiate rates and service terms with customers and partners.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and to identify growth opportunities.
- Identify customer needs and communicate those needs promptly to operations.
- Collaborate with the broader sales team to support revenue generation across the business.
- Draft customer proposals that align with service offerings.
- Manage and finalize customer contracts and payment terms.
- Provide excellent customer service and attend customer events.
- Submit a weekly itinerary and participate in regular sales meetings.
- Proven experience in Transportation Sales, with a focus on Intermodal and Domestic Tank business.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve any payment or collection issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in identifying customer needs and collaborating with operations to deliver on those needs.
- Proven success in developing and implementing sales strategies and securing contracts.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to attend and host client entertainment events.
- Ability to provide a weekly travel plan and attend sales meetings regularly.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Canada and the Midwest.
- Knowledge of the Houston market is a plus but not required.
