The Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our supply chain processes, working closely with our procurement team, including our buyer. This position requires a seasoned professional who excels in negotiation, cost management, and process development and improvement. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing a centralized and automated approach to our supply chain and inventory management, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the board.

The Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our supply chain processes, working closely with our procurement team, including our buyer. This position requires a seasoned professional who excels in negotiation, cost management, and process development and improvement. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing a centralized and automated approach to our supply chain and inventory management, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the buying process, ensuring all transactions are efficient and cost-effective.
- Source products from various suppliers, focusing on the best landed cost, not just the buy price.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including extended payment terms, freight cost, and secure fixed pricing without any additional surcharges.
- Identify and implement blanket purchase orders to stabilize pricing and supply.
- Lead the development and implementation of a centralized supply chain process, currently managed manually, with a focus on automation.
- Supervise and collaborate with our Buyer
- Work closely with General Managers and Warehouse Managers to optimize inventory replenishment strategies.
- Analyze existing processes, identify root causes of any issues, and work with the IT team to implement solutions that enhance transaction flows and overall efficiency.
- Develop improvements to prevent operational problems.
- Engage with various departments to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.
- Act as the point person for supply chain-related matters, ensuring clear communication and coordination across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or procurement, with a strong background in negotiation and cost management.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing supply chain processes and systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving the best landed costs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and drive solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with suppliers.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and automation tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
