About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and focused Supply Chain Manager with manufacturing experience.
This individual will direct or coordinate production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or
financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, and customer service.
Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs.
- Maintain databases on inventory and scrap in company’s ERP software.
- Calculate the quantities, styles, weights, of raw materials required to produce the requested output per style.
- Ensure identification of incoming product not conform to specification, and partner with the Quality Manager to ensure quality product is being received from vendors/suppliers.
- Sourcing and inventory management including use of supermarket system for delivery in a Just in Time environment.
- Lead the physical inventory counts for year-end.
- Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation
- Perform all purchasing duties for raw materials of multiple part numbers.
- Compare suppliers’ invoices with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Monitoring inventory by conducting inventory audits on an as needed basis.
Track product flow from origin to final delivery (OTIF).
- Coordinate material movement between vendors, warehouse, and the production floor.
- Leads vendor/supplier selection and maintains key working relationships for raw materials, supplies and capital equipment.
· Degree in business, finance or supply management is preferred.
· Must have ERP software experience, SAP or similar
· Proficient in Excel
· 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· Experience in managing supply as part of Just in Time supply chains
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
· Creative and innovative team player
