Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordinator for assigned business unit. This role integrates demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management to meet customer expectations and achieve business goals. This position works collaboratively across the organization with other supply chain functions, manufacturing, sales, finance, and marketing to meet customer expectations and KPI’s such as fill rate, productivity, and inventory turns.
+ Utilize statistical forecasting software, such as Logility, to develop an 18-month forecast at the SKU, customer, and business unit (BU) levels, serving as the foundation for supply plans and financial projections.
+ Gather and interpret data from various databases and sources to develop accurate forecasts, engaging with sales, marketing, customers, manufacturing, purchasing, and distribution teams. Data sources, including POS systems, ERP platforms, sales history, and customer forecasts, are analyzed to validate and adjust the statistical forecast, ensuring it accurately reflects future demand.
+ Leverage the demand forecast, combined with current inventory levels, orders, production schedules, and various planning parameters, to create a comprehensive purchase and production plan for finished goods, materials, and components.
+ Create various reports and presentations in Excel and Power Point for both internal analysis and distribution to key stakeholders and management. Use your understanding of relational databases and report building to analyze data and present it in a clear and concise format. This includes both standard and ad hoc reports.
+ Actively participate in meetings related to planning, forecasting, and budgeting, including reviews with senior management. This includes organizing and leading supply planning meetings with purchasing and production teams. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external customers to ensure alignment and address any supply chain challenges.
+ Oversee inventory management by maximizing inventory turns, addressing excess and short-dated inventory, and ensuring efficient SKU management to support operational goals and minimize waste.
+ As a key contributor to the S&OP process, you are expected to develop an accurate forecast and supply plan that enables the company to achieve its goals, including optimal fill rate, inventory levels, financial targets, production efficiency, and meeting customer expectations.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or similar field
+ 4-5 years of experience in similar inventory planning and replenishment role, CPG industry preferred
+ Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Prior experience managing a team
+ Knowledge of business processes and cycles, including ERP systems
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
+ Ability to utilize forecasting software to create statistical forecast
+ Highly developed interpersonal skills with exceptional written and verbal communication
+ Highly analytical, computer proficiency on all MS Office applications with extensive knowledge in Excel
