A Supply Chain Manager with 5+ years of professional manufacturing experience is needed in South Carolina. As a member of the strategic leadership team, the Supply Chain Manager provides direction to the organization in meeting overall goals and objectives as well as growing and developing the business. This position oversees procurement, production control, receiving, shipping, and warehousing to maximize facility resources and capability utilization. This person will lead and optimize supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless delivery of products and services to customers.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate within company’s Quality Management System and relevant certifications, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Provide leadership, communicate plans, offer feedback, and address issues while structuring the organization.
- Support company policies, procedures, goals, and good manufacturing practices.
- Develop and execute a supply chain strategy aligning with company goals, regulatory standards, and customer needs.
- Achieve key metrics including working capital, inventory turnover, on-time delivery, and schedule adherence.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate production capacity, material planning, purchasing, and scheduling to optimize manufacturing.
- Implement best practices for inventory forecasting, purchasing, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with planning team to forecast demand and align with production.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks using data and analytics.
- Monitor key performance indicators to meet company goals.
- Direct production control to maximize efficiency and capacity.
- Manage staffing, including scheduling, training, hiring, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in launching new products and processes.
- Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
- Promote 5S and actively manage it.
- Drive continuous improvement through lean tools and technology.
- Apply cost/risk vs. benefit/reward concept to resource allocation.
- Support assigned duties.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree business or supply chain management.
- 5+ years’ relevant work experience in a management/supervisor environment.
- Proven supply chain management experience, adept at optimizing operations.
- Strong communication skills for delivering metrics and presentations.
- Understanding of AS/ISO and EAR/ITAR requirements preferred.
- Ability to work independently post-training, showing initiative and leadership.
- Experience with ERP systems, continuous improvement, and safety practices preferred.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to teach and mentor others.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills.
- Represents company both on and off-site.
