Selectek is seeking a Supply Chain manager for a direct-hire role. Our partnering company, located on the south side of Birmingham, Alabama, needs candidates who are able to manage a small team and oversee plant processes.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of strategic sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong and effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with employees, suppliers, and customers.
Job Details:
- Create and execute strategic sourcing plans, policies, and documents for key commodities in alignment with the strategic initiatives of the company.
- Lead supplier cost reduction and quality improvement programs.
- Create and manage written supplier contracts.
- Supervise financial audit and physical inventory activities when required.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of quality and delivery factors affecting the supply chain. Meet routinely with internal and external suppliers to resolve gaps.
- Lead supply chain team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
- Provide information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Develop and maintain safety stock levels and forecast of materials and supplies located at the company and at supplier sites.
- Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain.
- Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
