Job Description: As the Aerospace Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, components, and services throughout our supply chain network. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, with a keen focus on optimizing efficiency, minimizing costs, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the aerospace supply chain, including supplier selection, vendor management, and inventory control strategies.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure favorable agreements that support the company's objectives.
- Procurement: Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards while minimizing costs and risks.
- Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that suppliers meet the required quality standards and certifications, conducting regular audits and inspections as necessary.
- Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate logistics and distribution activities, including transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, geopolitical issues, and market fluctuations, through proactive planning and contingency measures.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, leveraging data analytics, technology, and best practices to optimize processes and drive operational excellence.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including export controls, trade compliance, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, and data analytics platforms.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
