The Opportunity
The Supply Chain & Logistics Director will report to the Site Director and is member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT). This position has overall responsibility for the site supply chain, including control of supply planning, materials requirement planning and replenishment, inventory management, warehousing, and incoming/outbound logistics. The Supply Chain & Logistics Director's key accountability is to deliver the site supply plan and develop departmental capabilities to ensure it meets the needs of the business at an optimum cost and working inventory levels, delivered on time and in full, to the required quality standard.

Core hours: 8:30am through 5:00pm
Main Responsibilities
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
- Lead the site Supply Chain and Logistics team through implementing managerial practices to ensure the team’s high performance, while modelling Dechra values and leadership framework.
- Accountable for the overall operations of the S&OP process and end-to-end site planning process to ensure it fully supports the Global S&OP and customer service levels are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure that supply chain activities align with and support the DMS Supply Chain strategy.
- Manage rough cut capacity planning (RCCP) and future demand requirements for site, to identify constraints, facilitate budgeting and longer-term CAPEX plans.
- Internal and external customer service from site, including order management and communication.
- Build strong and long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders and strong links with colleagues to create opportunities to influence key customers.
- Coordinate all site procurement activities in accordance with DMS Procurement policies and strategies.
- Plan the site’s direct materials requirements and manage site inventory levels to ensure delivery of the site production schedule.
- Utilize site systems to create requisitions and purchase orders to ensure inbound materials meet the plan and utilize site inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Manage external supplier relationships to ensure compliant and reliable supply.
- Ensure warehouse and logistics operations are compliant and efficient, delivering product safely within planned timeframes.
- Ensure all activities are carried out to appropriate regulatory standards including GMP and GDP and working with Quality and Regulatory Affairs to achieve expected compliance standards.
- Primary site contact for DEA in relation to controlled substance compliance.
- Utilize OPEX principles to establish a culture of continuous improvement in Supply Chain and Logistics operations to maximise overall efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure all members of their team are adequately trained and aware of their responsibilities in their roles and in relation to GMP, EHS, ethics, and business compliance.
- Coach, support and develop all members of the team to realise potential. Follow the PDR, talent management, and training processes with all team members.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Operations Management or a closely related field.
- Professional licensure and/or certification desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain management experience
- Practical application of integrated supply planning and scheduling in a production environment
- Knowledge of procurement strategies, negotiation skills, and supplier management
- Prior experience overseeing warehousing operations
- Outcome driven with a strong customer focus and can-do attitude
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experienced people manager with proven ability to build, lead and develop teams
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Fully competent in Microsoft office applications
- May be required to occasionally work outside hours to meet business needs
- Occasional requirement for business travel
