About the Job
Summary
Responsible for inventory management program (Inventory Turns/Excess/ROPs/ROQs). Communicates directly with vendors regarding accuracy of product, pricing and delivery. Manages consignment inventory programs and compliance documentation. Reviews purchase requisitions for accuracy, cost accounting and contract compliance. Researches capital equipment requests and generates budgetary quotes. Directs critical expediting transportation needs to support patient care. Communicates backorder impacts to department leaders and researches substitutes. Reconciles and remedies shipping errors and misshiped product. Investigates applicability of product recalls and pulls affected equipment / supplies. Establishes detailed inventory reduction plans and schedules based on analysis of data. Directs SOX auditable programs related to inventory/consignment/compliance. Follows department policies and procedures. Monitors stock usage rates and notifies leader when par levels are inadequate. Performs data entry. Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain function
- 2 years of experience in medical supply chain operations preferred.
