Job Description:
The Supply Chain Site Coordinator will represent the External Manufacturing (ExM) Supply Chain team, providing a key link in the supply chain by coordinating activities between the Client Planning organization and the Contract Manufacturing organization (CMO). The role will be responsible for communicating supply and demand information between the two organizations and ensuring the timely execution of supply orders for products sourced from the CMO. Additionally, the role will ensure that Customer Service Levels for products within its scope of responsibility are achieved and will manage supply priorities and exceptions that affect Customer Service levels in the markets.
Job Description:
- Ensure adequate production takes place with the Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) to meet customer demands.
- Support the on-time delivery of Purchase Orders from CMOs, interacting with Market Supply Planning, Customer Service, CMO Site Planning, and the Client Virtual Plant Team (VPT) to achieve this.
- Act as the External Manufacturing (ExM) contact for internal and external customers regarding product inquiries, shipments, and scheduling activities.
- Ensure purchase orders are placed promptly according to contractual requirements and meet product lead times.
- Review and update open order reports, track order exceptions, and communicate unresolved issues to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Support the synchronization of orders from Market Supply Planning and other customers to align with campaign timing and tolled material consumption.
- Implement standard processes for efficient and effective communication of information from CMO to customer, including open order reporting and shipping plan communication.
- Ensure CMO provides open order confirmations through agreed processes.
- Proactively support CMO and customer requests/queries regarding supply, demand, logistics requirements, artwork change implementation, ship on test requests, etc., and handle ad hoc market and customer requests for information.
- Ensure the CMO supply chain team is routinely informed regarding Regulatory Agency approval status to facilitate on-time production.
- Act as the main point of contact between Client Planning and the CMO for resolution of supply issues affecting Customer Service in the market.
- Collaborate with CMO and MSP team/Customer to manage shortages, allocations, and stock-outs in the market.
- Proactively assess the impact of supply disruptions or quality events on market supply and inform the Virtual Plant Team (VPT) and customer.
- Coordinate product reworks/redress at CMO site as required by the business.
- Provide input into performance metrics analysis and comments (On-time delivery, Backorders, Anticipated Backorders).
- Execute and support priority planning as necessary through review of Backorder/Anticipated Backorder (BO/ABO) information and customer inventory levels.
- Provide monthly forecasts to CMO to account for delivery requirements in the long-range planning horizon.
- Support and lead projects as required.
- Escalate to Supply Chain Manager as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/consumer products industry in a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Master Scheduling, Forecasting, Customer Service, Logistics, Distribution, and/or Inventory Management is required, ideally combined with experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent knowledge of the planning operational workflow (MPS, MRP, forecasting) and understanding of how sourcing decisions impact site planning operations.
- Experience in SAP is advantageous.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Excellent PC and systems skills with proficiency in MS Office; Advanced MS Excel experience.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload accordingly through task prioritization, possess a high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Possess excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a dynamic work environment.
