As a GE Appliances’ Supplier Quality Senior Manager – RAC/HVAC you’ll be responsible for driving quality improvements and providing exceptional customer service for the Residential AC and Retail AC segments of the Air Products Microenterprises. This role works directly with cross-functional teams to enhance customer ownership experience and quickly resolve field quality issues. It leads efforts to proactively improve product performance by leading quality initiatives during New Product Introduction (“NPI”) program launches. Coach and mentor Product Quality Engineers (PQEs) on the Sourced Finished Goods (“SFG”) team in quality systems and processes

How You'll Create Possibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Quality Metrics and Improvement
+ Manage quality metrics for the Retail AC/HVAC product portfolio to consistently achieve Cost of Quality (COQ) targets.
+ Develop and implement a global quality improvement strategy for Retail AC/HVAC, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
+ Lead proactive initiatives to identify potential field quality issues through robust reliability testing and continuous enhancement of supplier testing programs.
+ Drive improvements in Cost of Quality metrics (warranty, damage, concessions, customer education, and installation) through supplier collaboration and targeted projects.
+ Lead continuous quality improvement efforts with Retail AC/HVAC suppliers, focusing on sustainable corrective actions and process enhancements.
Field and Customer Experience
+ Drive field quality initiatives to quickly identify and resolve emerging product issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
+ Partner with Customer Relations, Field Technicians, and Retail Partners to address product concerns and enhance customer ownership experiences.
+ Address product damage and return issues by working with Distribution and Product Damage teams to implement lasting corrective actions.
Supplier and Process Oversight
+ Collaborate with suppliers and sub-tier suppliers to identify issues, implement containment strategies, and drive root cause analysis.
+ Oversee rework processes, inspections, and deviation procedures, coordinating efforts with internal teams and third-party resources.
+ Support the development and implementation of manufacturing control plans, focusing on process control, product testing, and auditing improvements.
+ Act as the lead auditor for new suppliers, sub-tier suppliers, and critical component suppliers while coaching PQEs on audit best practices.
New Product Implementation (NPI)
+ Lead quality initiatives for New Product Implementation (NPI) programs, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
Process Expertise, Training and Compliance
+ Establish and audit compliance with Retail AC/HVAC "Best Practice" control plans, fostering consistency across suppliers.
+ Conduct supplier training sessions and site visits to share best practices and drive process improvements.
+ Serve as a process expert for Retail AC/HVAC products, providing guidance to PQEs and cross-functional teams.
+ Provide coaching and mentorship to Product Quality Engineers (PQEs) on quality processes, leadership development, and the application of best practices.

Preferred Competencies
+ Working knowledge of Supplier Quality systems and processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to simplify complex information and concisely prepare executive summaries
Educational and Experiential Background Required
+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
+ 7+ years’ experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Design, Operations, or related field working with Air Conditioning products in a technical, production or quality role
Preferred Education/Experience
+ Lean Experience or Green Belt Certified.
+ Experience working with OEM or Sourced Products
+ Experience working with SAS and Oracle based systems
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
+ Working conditions are typical for an office environment.
+ 5-10% ongoing travel; Occasional conferencing and/or external training attendance may be required at times.
