About the Job
- Position is responsible for leading a group of automotive suppliers, in providing quality powertrain components in sufficient capacity.
- This position is within the Client’s Aftermarket Supply Chain organization, and will report to the responsible Aftermarket Supply Chain Team Leader.
- Work with the supplier to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting customer existing or new requirements. Projects may include: PPAP, process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6‐Sigma, 5S and Kaizen events.
- Facilitate and help lead the supplier in the advanced product quality planning of aftermarket part supply following the international VDA/RGA process.
- Documents activities related to investigation, disposition and resolution to quality complaints.
- Conduct supplier audits to confirm product conformity, or drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including DPPM, Quality Complaints, and capacity to support OTS (On Time Ship) compliance.
- Lead or support effort to establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals.
- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
- Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of related experience OR an Associate’s degree with 2 years of related experience OR 6 years of related experience required.
- Engineering degree is required.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Statistical process control experience preferred.
- Problem solving experience preferred.
- Engagement with supplier/ vendors/ and customers.
- Must Know PPAP.
- Should have great communication skills.
- Top 3 must-have hard skills: 1. PPAP, 2. Engineering background/ exp, 3.Teamwork and communication
