Supplier Quality Engineer - LHH

LHH is actively seeking a Quality Engineer for an industrial manufacturing company in the Buffalo Grove area.

This role will be responsible for maintaining departmental documentation, PPAP, monitoring supplier performance, assisting with audits and investigating non conforming materials. This is a high travel role, requiring up to 50% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier approval (PPAP, suppier audits, preventative action, etc.)
• Investigate non conforming materials/customer quality issues, root cause analysis
• Create/review SOPs
• Project manage departmental initiatives
• Propose and implement corrective action
• Support new product development
• Additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Statistics, or relavent experience
• 5+ years of Manufacturing experience
• Proficient in Six Sigma methodology
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
