Within Global Impact, the Global Communications team (Enterprise Communications, External Affairs & Crisis, Segment Communications, Reputation Communications, Story Lab, Communications Measurement & Insight and our McDonald’s production & creative Agency – Agency123) functions as a global center of excellence meant to promote and protect the McDonald’s brand and grow the business.
We’re looking for a Supervisor, Transformation Communications to support our global communications strategy aimed to equip leaders to drive and protect McDonald’s brand reputation by generating pride, confidence and trust in our multi-year enterprise transformation strategy. This role will be fully dedicated to the Transformation Office and report to the Director, Transformation Communication. This role will be based in Chicago, IL, and you will be a member of the broader Global Impact and Global Communications team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the governance and maintenance of key transformation communications assets to provide a common framework for our leaders to talk about our enterprise transformation narrative and vision with consistency.
- This includes building relationships with key stakeholders across the global business to develop quarterly messaging that highlights timely areas of focus and demonstrates progress against our transformation goals.
- Develop deep understanding of System audiences to inform innovative communications strategies and content that engages and inspires all three legs of the stool (suppliers, franchisees and employees).
- Support execution of enterprise transformation communication strategy for engaging global System audiences.
- Partner across the global business to gather context and identify opportunities on how to advance the enterprise transformation narrative.
- Develop content including talking points, leader messages, and FAQs to bring audiences along our enterprise transformation journey.
- Advise business partners on animating transformation progress and updates to System via key enterprise moments and milestones.
- Support with communication planning and material development for enterprise-wide transformation milestone announcements, including project management, sequencing strategy, executive communications, talking points, Q&A, among other materials. Manage and facilitate global leader and stakeholder reviews of materials.
- Liaise with Market and Segment teams, analyzing feedback, key themes and insights shared related to local transformation communications efforts to evolve enterprise transformation strategies, materials and counsel as necessary.

The expected salary range for this role is $87,050 – 108,810 / per year

- Prior corporate communication experience – both in strategy development and in execution
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, with an eye to messaging for a range of channels and audience types
- Excellent verbal communications skills
- Ability to navigate, orchestrate, and work through complex issues with a strategic, tactical, and fresh perspective
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and support multiple high priority work streams and at times, with ambiguous undefined circumstances
- Self-starter with strong sense of initiative and focused on results
- Effective collaborator who will work cross-functionally across teams, geographies, and time zones
- Strong project management skills and experience managing stakeholder relationships, SMEs, and cross-functional partners
