Position Summary:      Responsible for the effective operation and utilization of all production related equipment.   Ensures that production assets are maintained for maximum efficiency and reliability. Provides quality solutions to production with urgency, professionalism, and innovation.

KEY TASKS

• Optimize equipment uptime by effectively managing the maintenance team.
• Maintain all manufacturing equipment including but not limited to forging, CNC machining, robotics, broaching, grinding, heat treat, vibratory finish, electroplating, waste treatment, stamping, and assembly.
• Coordinate facility and motor vehicle preventive maintenance and repairs with the appropriate contractor.
• Maintain a documentation database for storage of operator manuals, drawings, and repair documentation.
• Maintain a software database containing all machine system software and operating programs.
• Maintain the CMMS to track work orders, spare parts, equipment cost, and labor reporting.
• Coordinate an effective and on-going preventative maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment.
• Develop maintenance personnel using various mentoring, training, and teaching practices.
• Aquire quotes, submit purchase requests, and help manager the maintenance budget.
• Recommend new technologies, equipment, and manufacturing solutions to management and engineering.
• Communicate downtime, equipment repair status, and any personnel concerns to the appropriate departments.
• Manage the quality of work performed by the maintenance department and contractors working with maintenance.
• Comply with OSHA, NFPA 70E, EPA, NEC, DNR and other regulations.
• Work with the RCI Manager to support lean development.
• Provide support to the purchasing manager for all lease and service agreements.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 8-10 years experience in repair and maintenance of facility and production equipment.
• Must be fluent with electrical troubleshooting including but not limited to PLC, CNC, PID, Motion Control, and Robotics.
• Must be fluent in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and power distribution systems.
• Ability to effectively choose and manage outside contractors to meet safety, cost, and completion deadlines.
• Strong safety advocate.
• Detail oriented.
• Effective communicator both oral and written.
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and a good communicator.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, word-processing, and email software.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Forge, heat treat, vibratory finishing, electroplating, and data collection.
• Waste water treatment, scrubbers, cooling towers, and HVAC equipment.
• CMMS experience utilizing MP2.
• Doosan, Mazak, Haas, Mori Seiki, Okuma, Siempelkamp, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Motoman, Fanuc, and DeviceNET.
• Experience and participation in Lean manufacturing activities.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
