We are seeking an experienced Rope Access NACE/CIP Supervisor for full-time work in Baton Rouge, LA. The Rope Access Supervisor is responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations to perform maintenance, repairs, blasting/coatings, and other industrial work tasks on industrial petrol/chemical equipment while on ropes. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Superintendent or Site Manager; Develops procedures for performance of a variety of duties / performs complex duties within established guidelines.
Essential Qualifications:
- Rope Access Certification
- AMPP/CIP (NACE) Certification
- High school or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Foreman in specified skill or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
- Sets a high standard to be followed for Turner and Client Safety Policies and Procedures
- Projects clear expectations to all employees under his/her supervision
- Proficient in the craft he/she is supervising
- Obtains excellent leadership and mentoring skills
- Preferred to have NCCER craft certifications and leadership certifications such as NCCER Crew Leader or Turner Leadership Training
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
Functional Requirements:
- Uses Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete a wide variety of maintenance, repairs and other industrial work tasks while on ropes or in difficult access areas
- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to the IRAT/SPRAT standards and practices
- Ensures team members utilize proper personal protective equipment
- Displays a healthy respect for heights and follows all OSHA, site specific and company's safety procedures
- Participates in required training and maintains a working understanding of rope access safe working practices
- Inspects and verifies rope access systems and components before use
- Recognizes worksite hazards and notifies management of any unsafe conditions
- Maintains proficiency at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed and in accordance with certification level
- Performs physical activities that require considerably use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and walking
- Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources; ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
- Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel complaints in keeping with company policy.
- Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
- Supervise, oversee employees within the department with the job details as follows.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
