About the Job
Primary Purpose: • Supervise employees, assigning job tasks as necessary for the movement of bulk fertilizer and handling equipment and facilities. • Follows and enforces all rules and procedures established by Kinder Morgan for the safe and efficient operation of fertilizer handling equipment. • Observes for compliance of safety rules and procedures. • Assures that new employees are trained as necessary for tasks to be performed. • Job Postings – must create and follow through to completion on the hiring of employees. • Job Progression – KM has a job progression program for the advancement of the employees. It is your responsibility to manage this and to present it at company set times. • Understands and can communicate understanding to others of movement operations and bulk material handling operations. • Train and develop subordinates in unloading and loading operations. • requisitions and purchase material in compliance with Kinder Morgan’s purchase order and P-card procurement policy. • Interprets specifications, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product handling. • Has understanding and grasp of environmental impact of product handling operations, • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of operation crews, track department, or work crew. • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. • Maintains payroll and overtime documentation and works with the Admin. Assistant regarding employee time records and weekly timesheet issues.
