- Position Summary (Evening shift supervisor working 11:00am - 7:30pmone weekend shift per week)
- Assigns and directs activities of the Cafeteria.Responsible for staff training and assuring quality customer service. Participates in the completion of performance reviews. Serves as a department Customer Service Advocate. Work is performed at a high degree of independence.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education:See "Experience"
- License/Certifications:Serve Safe certification will be required by January 2005.
- Experience:Experience in food preparation, preferably in an institutional environment or an Associate’s Degree in Food Service or closely related major.
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement principles.
- Knowledge of food service practices.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures, sanitation procedures, and HACCP procedures.
- Knowledge of quality control practices in food services.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with employees in all areas of the Medical Center.
- Ability to lift equipment and food supplies, extensive walking, standing, bending, carrying, etc.
- Ability to supervise a large staff.
