Job Title: Blood Bank Supervisor

Shift: Day Shift - 6:45am - 3:15pm, 5 shifts per week with rotating weekends

Job Summary: Oversee laboratory section or shift, staff management, and ensure proper lab procedures and test result reporting.

Minimum Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related biological/chemical science.

Licensure/Certification: National certification as a laboratory scientist required.

Experience: 2 years of lab experience with high complexity testing.

Skills: Interpersonal relations, delegation, planning, effective communication, leadership, and PC skills for document/report creation.

Responsibilities:

Supervise personnel and staffing assignments.

Ensure quality operations and compliance with regulations.

Plan for departmental needs regarding equipment and staff.

Evaluate employee performance and recommend actions.

Working Relationships: Direct supervision of 10-30 staff, interaction with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals.

Special Notes: This position is safety-sensitive under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act.
