What You Will Do
We are excited to be opening our new distribution facility in Merrillville, IN using state of the art technology while minimizing our carbon footprint. Our 400,000 square foot facility will serve as one of our global shipping hubs responsible for meeting the demand of our customers internationally.
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and train a team of technicians and apprentices to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in all operations. Your responsibilities include organizing work teams, evaluating performance, and motivating staff to achieve departmental and company objectives.
In this role, you'll foster strong relationships with personnel across all shifts and communicate effectively with upper management and team members through meetings and presentations. You will identify and eliminate waste in operations and equipment, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in quality, service, productivity, and maintenance skills by actively participating in improvement programs. Ensuring operational support during weekends, holidays, and staff absences will also be a key part of your duties. Key responsibilities include:

- Team Lead
- Manage team workload and motivate employees.
- Evaluate team performance and development.
- Coordinate the supply of tools and materials for team.
- Ensure optimal safety conditions.
- Special Projects
- Develop improvement projects to increase Quality, Availability, Efficiency, and other key indicators.
- Electrical and mechanical equipment installations, machinery modifications, upgrades, fabrications, and waste reduction projects.
- Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Support
- Support diagnosis and repair activities performed by the maintenance technicians.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to equipment in a high technology level or with a high impact.
- Coordinate and verify execution of preventive maintenance activities.
- Required Degree: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor's degree.
- 4 + years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Customer service oriented.
- Intermediate computer skills and design software (drawings).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems to find root cause solutions.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to use electrical test instruments and hand & power tools.
- Ability to use Hand Pallet, Lift Truck, Boom & Scissor Lift.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, up to 2 hours per day.
