The Opportunity
Our Diagnostics business currently has an opportunity for a Supervisor Logistics in our North Chicago, IL Location. The Supervisor Logistics will be responsible for developing and maintaining, cost effective distribution systems that meet our customer's high service requirements. This person will be responsible for specific projects on inbound and outbound shipments for ADD globally which drive down costs, improve cycle time, and customer performance and supervising a team in the logistics and transportation group. Create and implement departmental training programs, assure adherence to it, and represent dept. in GMP audits. Plan, direct, and monitor domestic and international transportation activities, while providing the best cost/service mix for shipments to/from our customers, suppliers, and affiliates (world-wide).
What You’ll Work On
- Maintains compliance to all government regulations dealing with export, transportation, packaging and labeling of materials for transport.
- Investigates failure in the internal distribution systems to include damage, missed delivery and wrong delivery and corrects when required.
- Serve as initial contact for departmental systems questions.
- Assure training program is kept up to date with current requirements.
- Work with International accounting to assure accurate invoicing.
- Responsible for understanding divisional training requirements and supervise in developing programs to assure they are met.
- Analyze business requirements and assure systems adequately provide for them.
- Understand Distribution Operations flow to assure international affiliate, supplier, and U.S. customer requirements are met.
- Develops tactical plans for material flow improvements supporting the strategic plan.
- Integrates and manages complex projects across internal and external resources.
- Drives the improvement of supplier and site-specific metrics and KPI’s.
- Serves as leader, contributor, facilitator, consultant, technical expert, evaluator according to the needs of the team and task.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 4 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of International Logistics experience.
- Experience managing people is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare industry with a global scope is a plus.
- Willing to take on challenges and has a can-do attitude towards overcoming those challenges.

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
