Recently named as one of Leapfrog’s top hospitals, and recognized for its Stroke Care program, the Hospital Imaging Supervisor will be joining a top-tier, non-profit health system.
The ARRT Imaging and Radiology Supervisor will report to the Director of Radiology, who oversees ancillary and radiology operations across multiple inpatient and outpatient facilities in this non-profit health system. Supporting the Supervisor at the hospital-level are two Imaging Supervisors and a Lead Rad Tech, who in turn oversee a tenured team of Radiology Technologists with general and specialized skills.
The Assistant Manager will oversee Inpatient Acute Care Radiology operations in a high-volume department which offers a full range of services. This position will oversee CT, MRI, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Imaging Files Administration. Because of this diverse workload, ARRT Certification is required, and it is preferred (but not necessary) that you have speciality certification in more than one modality.
Working in collaboration with hospital leadership, and within the practice / operating guidelines of the hospital, the Imaging Supervisor will take responsibility for an incredibly busy and diverse department. The key parts of this role are as follow:
- Human – The Supervisor will lead the acquisition, training, and retention processes for personnel throughout the department. This person will serve as a guide and mentor, ensuring that all staff act in accordance with safety and quality protocols, as well as in adherence to labor relations code.
- Finance – In collaboration with the hospital / health system financial analysis staff, the Radiology Supervisor will establish and maintain the departmental budgets, support revenue growth, and control expenses.
- Operations – Working closely with section leads, this person will develop and implement quality initiatives aimed at improving patient care metrics, departmental throughput, and clinical performance of the Radiology and Imaging Department.
