JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor Game Presentation and Events is responsible for daily execution and coordination of the LA Kings game and event department programs and initiatives. This role will oversee the arena part-time game and production staff during LA Kings home games and will take ownership for managing all video control room inventory including hype videos, commercials, motion graphics and creative promotional material. The Supervisor will work to enhance the experiences of LA Kings fans at games and events, build relationships with internal and external clients and be the ultimate team player. The incumbent must be proactive, a strong multi-tasker, an effective communicator (verbal and written), and possess the ability to make informed decisions in high-pressure and fast-paced environments. The incumbent will be actively involved with cross-supporting and assisting with a variety of game and event projects and initiatives across the department as needed or assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise the process and all technical aspects of game presentation for all LA Kings home games & events including:
- Create game day media content tracking sheets, playlists for corporate sponsor advertising rotations for all in-arena LED surfaces and holding pre/post-game meetings.
- Work with the Director, Production and Manager to communicate and coordinate all tv timeout live camera shot needs including location, lighting, audio, talent, crew and props.
- Manage and track updates in promotional materials, alterations to active team roster including player stats, bios and milestones.
- Create and communicate game day staffing assignments for production crew including camera operators, utilities, audio engineers, replay operators and graphic operators.
- Work with Director, Manager, and Production on projects related to the organizational events assigned to the department. This includes projects in cooperation with other departments including: Hockey Development, Communications, Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Ticketing, Community Relations and Public Relations. Projects include venue coordination, décor/atmosphere, catering, staffing, operations, and more as assigned.
- Develop new and creative in-game entertainment including video pieces, fan interactive elements, and sponsored content. Ensure the LA Kings are staying current on live event trends and innovations.
- Act as point person and troubleshoot any issues for game-day events such as special ceremonies, special guests, and celebrity appearances. Ensure everything is executed appropriately and the involved parties know the proper timing, location, and expected duties. Examples of events include: Festival, Hockeywood, Theme Nights, and Opening Night.
- Act as an additional Assistant Producer for games and events and serve as back-up if the Lead Producer is unable to attend.
- Work with part time staff members to upkeep, organize, and track department inventory, props, materials, vehicles, and storage areas.
- Oversee department game and event elements including: planning and execution of pre-, post-, and in-game ceremonies and promotions
- Support department Director and Manager with securing game/event activation needs, including: prizing, props, specialized waivers or claim forms, etc.

- Basic/working knowledge of Photoshop and/or video editing software preferred.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
- In Marketing, Media, Film/Television, Communications, PR or related field
Experience:
- 2-4 years related work experience
- Stage management, promotional team or marketing experience – particularly for live sporting events.
- Supervisory or managerial experience, including direct supervision of part-time and/or full-time staff, including hiring, training, assigning projects/duties, appraising performance, rewarding and/or disciplining employees, addressing issues and complaints, and solving problems
- Experience coordinating and/or designing/setting up large and small-scale event spaces and activation footprints preferred.
Pay Scale: $67,000-$84,337.00
