Federal Reserve Bank of MinneapolisThe Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking applications for a Supervisor, Data Engineering and Migration for our TRIM division in Minneapolis.
You must bring experience with large, complex data migration efforts. You will lead a team of data engineers and software developers. We're looking for a leader who will bring a good blend of people leadership and technical experience managing applications in AWS.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident alien with at least three (3) years of legal residency.

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are expected to be in the office one (1) day per week for meetings and team collaboration.
This position is open until filled. The working title for this position is: Supervisor, Data Engineering and Migration.
The position is open at two levels (Supervisor I and Supervisor II) and may be filled at either level based on the needs of the department and the position.
Responsibilities:
Lead data team(s) in defining and delivering on key milestones for the data migration workstream.
Provide leadership and coordination of staff, which includes supervision over varied and/or complex to highly complex work or indirect supervision over routine and highly repetitive work.
Lead work of high complexity and/or priority.
Provide direction, feedback, and assesses performance for professional staff and/or other members of management with minimal direction from a more senior management member.
Ensure training and development plans and programs are implemented to address individual, and team needs.
Make recommendations to more senior department management pertaining to employee recognition, hiring, salary, and disciplinary actions.
Create and provide a variety of written communication, including customer notices, technical recommendations, and status reports on projects/tasks to management; presents recommendations and statuses as requested.
Exercise good judgment, promptly identify and address staff/project conflicts, as well as individual/team performance issues and escalate to management when necessary.
Resolve and/or give guidance on a range of problems from the routine to the highly complex for customers, including Ninth District business lines, FRS business lines, and National IT.
Provide consultation to customers and assist them with information technology decisions and implementations.
Assist in conducting feasibility studies on new or improved technologies.
Assist with monitoring expenses; tracks expenses within Department/Section budget.
Approve expenditures within delegated authority limits.
May assist with department reporting and other analytic functions.
Analyze and evaluate business needs, assess benefits and risks, and recommends technical and/or business solutions.
Maintain high level knowledge of analytical, technical, and/or business issues related to the industry and provides a high-level of application and/or business expertise.
Interact with other members of management, including Senior Management, to resolve escalated issues, and provide recommendations related to department functions and implement new or updated department policies and procedures.
Assist in translating policy decisions from System governing bodies into business and automation plans.
Ensure department/section processes are efficient and effective, and procedures are up-to-date, relevant, and adhere to compliance standards.
Serve as a project leader and/or facilitate team efforts on complex System and local projects.
Communicate and collaborate across System resources and department functions to resolve business and technical issues.
Qualifications
To be considered for Supervisor, Tech & Support II, you must meet one of the following education and years of experience qualifications.
Bachelor`s degree AND five (5) years of progressive experience in information technology OR Master's degree AND three (3) years of progressive experience in information technology.
To be considered for Supervisor, Tech & Support I, you must meet one of the following education and years of experience qualifications.
Bachelor`s degree AND three (3) years of progressive experience in information technologyOR Master's degree AND one (1) year of progressive experience in information technology.
Applicable at both levels:
Experience with large, complex data migration efforts
Expertise in implementing enterprise reporting, data access control, and data retrieval performance
Experience in applicable best practices in data governance and data security
Experience with report development and modern BI and reporting tools (Tableau and PowerBI)
Experience with serverless microservices-based application architecture and an understanding of how to efficiently architect and develop a data sync process across operational and data platforms in (near-to) real time
Experience with data architecture within payment systems, tiered web applications and infrastructure and multi-cloud environments
Strong business acumen and analytical skills Experience in applicable technologies (NoSQL, SQL, ETL, EMR, data warehousing, data lakes, modeling, and architecture)
Knowledge of industry best-practices
Knowledge in Agile, SAFe,and DevOps methodologies
Project management experience including the ability to lead projects

This Information Technology position provides access to Treasury security sensitive matters, is risk rated HIGH, and as such requires the incumbent be a U.S. citizen.
Salary Range:
Supervisor, Tech & Support II: $108,000- $134,971- $162,000 Annual.
Supervisor, Tech & Support I: $88,400- $110,557- $132,700 Annual.
