Directly responsible for the frontline supervision of CS techs (18 FTE), resource techs (3 RSS), Dispatcher (I FTE), Inventory Control
Clerk (I FTE) and Data Entry Clerk (1 EYE) on the l' and 3rd shifts. Assigns employees to tasks and reassigns as necessary to reflect
changes in staffing, census or nursing needs, This position is the primary decision maker for all new hires, Reviews employees work
to ensure staff maintains supply cabinets at sufficient levels so that medical staff may provide quality healthcare. Is responsible for
counseling and/or disciplinary action including termination for performance issues, working directly with human resources along with
maintaining documentation. Writes, approves and reviews all CAT's with staff. Responsibilities include problem resolution relating to
the department, hospital, medical and administrative staff. Oversees all QA projects verifying documentation is completed relating to
JCAHO, AAMI, DHS and OS1IA standards. Incumbant oversees and supervises the purchasing, receiving, distribution and billing of
all supplies related to the storeroom and the nursing floors. Works directly with and advises nurses and doctors to ensure that the
correct products and par levels are maintained at the nursing stations. Incumbant evaluates staffing requirements and provides input to
budget needs and manpower staffing either to increase or decrease based on nursing and department needs
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of inventory control clerk ensuring products are ordered in a cost effective manner with no stocks outs or
with approved subs utilized as required, including items ordered through .M.MIS from JIT distributor for nursing
floors.
2. Supervision of receiving of the storeroom supplies and. UT supplies for nursing floors ensuring paperwork is
processed correctly and in a timely manner.
3. Supervision of data entry clerk to ensure billing of charge cards and Pyxis are done in a timely manner enabling the
collection of optimum revenue.
4. Supervision of the dispatcher to ensure phones are answered, supplies are pulled and inventory is input into MMIS to
ensure customer satisfaction the delivery of quality healthcare and inventory levels are adjusted correctly.
5. Creates a six week schedule that has all 20 daily job assignments listed for 3 shifts.
6. Makes all changes to Pyxis/supply carts/CG4 duplicating changes in MMIS.
7. Interviews, hires, counsels and disciplines as requited also provides CAT input.
8. Oversees the completion of QA's and completed documentation following regulatory requirements.
9. Initiates. implements and. oversees performance improvement opportunities.
10. Oversees the upkeep/changes with crash earls and trauma carts.
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. - High School diploma
- 10 years Central Supply experience and/or Central Supply certification
