About the role
Two Chairs is launching psychiatry and hiring our first Supervising Psychiatrist! This role offers a fixed salary range of $152,000 - $178,000 per year, with an hourly equivalent of $145 - $170, based on experience. You'll provide evidence-based psychiatric care for individuals with mild to moderate mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. As a key clinical leader, you'll conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe treatments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care. You'll also mentor and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), helping shape our psychiatry program and improve clinical processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe evidence-based treatments, and provide ongoing assessments for conditions like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Maintain a caseload that evolves with program growth.
- Supervision & Mentorship: Lead and support a team of APPs (NPs, PAs, APRNs), ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, reviewing treatment plans, and fostering professional growth.
- Process Improvement: Help refine clinical workflows, optimize processes, and contribute to developing treatment protocols that align with industry best practices.
- Client Education & Support: Offer psychoeducation and psychotherapy as needed to help clients better understand their mental health condition, improve clinical outcomes, medication adherence. Empower clients to engage actively in their care plans.
- Collaboration: Partner with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, counselors, care coordinators, and APPs to provide comprehensive mental health care. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and improve care delivery.
- Research & Innovation: Stay current with the latest research and trends in psychiatric care for mild to moderate mental health conditions. Contribute to new initiatives and pilot programs aimed at enhancing care delivery and client outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Licensing: MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry. Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license (multi-state licensure a plus) to practice psychiatry.
- Experience: Proven expertise in treating mild to moderate mental health conditions and prescribing medications ethically. Supervisory experience with APPs preferred.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and treatment planning abilities, excellent communication, and comfort with telehealth and electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Startup or fast-paced healthcare environment experience.
- Interest in mental health innovation and process improvement.
- Experience in developing clinical protocols or best practices.
Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed Salary: $152,000 - $178,000 annually ($145 - $170 hourly).
