Join our dynamic and growing team as a Permanent Superintendent in the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work on local projects with top compensation. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Superintendent, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
2. Allocating resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervising onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
5. Managing the day-to-day work on the construction site, including scheduling, inspection, and managing subcontractors.
6. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
7. Resolving any problems that may arise during construction.
8. Ensuring all safety guidelines and regulations are strictly followed on the construction site.
9. Communicating effectively with clients, architects, and team members.
10. Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
11. Planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Superintendent position should have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
2. Proven experience in apartment construction is essential.
3. Strong leadership and management skills.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
5. Understanding of construction management processes.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
7. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
8. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. Proficiency in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel.
11. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is preferred.
12. A valid driver’s license.
