Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to help ensure the successful completion of both commercial and residential construction projects. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within the construction industry and gain hands-on experience in managing large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project timelines, budgets, and schedules.
- Help track project progress, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Help maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and conducting site inspections.
- Monitor project expenses and assist with cost tracking and reporting.
- Resolve project-related issues and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Support the procurement process by assisting with material and equipment ordering.
- Assist with site visits and oversee project site activities as required.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in construction project management (commercial or residential), or equivalent experience.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Solid understanding of construction processes, contracts, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in either commercial or residential construction projects.
- Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and project tracking.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Certification (e.g., PMP, Assistant Project Manager certification) a plus.
