Traveling Superintendent - Retail Construction

Are you a seasoned Construction Superintendent with a passion for overseeing large-scale commercial retail projects? Do you have a proven track record of managing the construction of big box stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• On-Site Leadership: Oversee daily operations of commercial retail construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and safety protocols. Focus on big box retail environments such as Walmarts, Targets, or Sam's Clubs.
• Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle, from foundation to final inspection.
• Team Management: Lead and manage on-site teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel. Ensure effective coordination and communication across all parties.
• Safety Oversight: Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety meetings and site inspections to mitigate risks.
• Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, including schedule adherence, budget compliance, and potential challenges, to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on commercial retail and big box projects.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in construction management software and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
• Procore Experience: Proficiency in using Procore construction management software is preferred.
• Certifications: OSHA certification is required; additional certifications in construction management or safety are a plus.
