IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Board of Education
CERTIFICATION: NY State School District Administrator or School District Leader

The Superintendent serves as the District's CEO, overseeing operations and advising the Board of Education.

Primary Activities

Act as CEO, speaking on all Board matters (no vote).

Enforce laws and regulations for school management.

Responsibilities

Inform the Board about the educational system's condition.

Prepare Board meeting agendas.

Provide detailed explanations for policy changes or expenditures.

Recommend educational objectives to the Board.

Execute Board decisions.

Maintain comprehensive school records.

Manage public communications related to education.

Foster relations with employee organizations.

Prepare and submit the annual budget by March 1.

Engage with community groups involved in education.

Primary Relationships

Accountable to the Board for educational administration.

Attend all Board meetings.

Represent the District in external dealings.

Other duties as assigned by the Board of Education.
