We are seeking a seasoned MEP Superintendent with a concentration in Healthcare to join our dynamic construction team. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to be involved in ground-up construction projects, primarily focused on healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP systems and low voltage, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of the construction process for MEP systems, ensuring that work is carried out according to the project plans and specifications.
2. Coordinate and supervise onsite MEP trades, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Review and interpret MEP drawings and specifications, providing guidance and direction to the project team.
4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve any potential design or construction issues.
5. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
6. Manage the commissioning process of MEP systems, ensuring that systems are functioning correctly before handover.
7. Provide regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting any potential issues or delays.
8. Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in MEP systems, incorporating this knowledge into project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a superintendent role, with a focus on MEP systems in healthcare construction.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of low voltage systems and ground-up construction processes.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting complex MEP drawings and specifications.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
8. Familiarity with construction software and tools, including project management software and CAD.
9. Certified in First Aid and CPR, with a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on project needs and deadlines.
