About the Job
Overview:
We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Superintendent with a specialization in multi-family housing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all field operations, site safety, quality, and schedules of projects, ensuring that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all on-site construction activities of assigned projects from start to finish.
- Ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and labor.
- Implement and enforce comprehensive site safety and security procedures.
- Address and resolve issues, disputes, or grievances as they arise on-site.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain daily logs.
- Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Communicate project progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Implement quality control measures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in multi-family projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in construction management software.
- A proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic.
