About the Job
The Commercial Interiors Superintendent will coordinate all field operations for the commercial fit out of a large scale, fast track project with a commitment to quality and safe construction processes. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Day-to-day onsite field supervision of construction activities, third party vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain project schedule and proactively manage the project budget by owning approvals and deliveries, controlling expenses, and reviewing submittal data.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Collaborate with internal Project Managers, Design Managers and Development Managers.
- Drive construction document coordination phase, and review document packages for procurement and develop detailed scopes of work.
- Help formulate, maintain, and execute project schedule.
- Manage the permit process with expeditor, DOB, MTA, and related governmental requirements.
- Lead jobsite foreman’s meetings.
Compensation
- $110,000 - $160,000 / year
- Annual performance based bonus
- 5-10 years’ experience in complicated commercial building interiors. Experience should include retail, commercial and institutional with a high level of systems and finishes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experienced with Super’s license, OSHA 30, and Procore, with proven experience managing a crew on $5+ million project.
- A mature professional with excellent judgment and intuitive interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communications skills – written and verbal.
- A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
