We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Superintendent for Interiors in the Healthcare Construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of interior construction projects within the healthcare industry, with a particular focus on hospital construction and cancer centers. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile, intricate projects that directly impact the health and wellbeing of communities. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record in healthcare construction.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of interior construction projects within the healthcare sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
3. Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors, fostering a safe, productive work environment.
4. Review and interpret project blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure project accuracy.
5. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety and quality standards.
6. Manage and resolve any issues or problems that arise during the construction process.
7. Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
8. Ensure compliance with all local and national building codes and regulations.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other industry professionals.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a particular focus on healthcare construction.
2. Proven experience in managing large-scale interior construction projects, with a focus on hospital construction and cancer centers.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
4. Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and other industry professionals.
7. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, plans, and specifications.
8. Strong understanding of local and national building codes and regulations.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
11. Certifications such as Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) or Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) would be a plus.
