Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from initial planning to completion.
2. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
3. Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality.
5. Develop and maintain project schedules, and ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
6. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
7. Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Prepare and submit regular progress reports and other project documentation.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve any problems that may arise during construction.
10. Continuously improve project management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, and industry best practices.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
6. Proficient in the use of construction management software and other relevant technology.
7. A strong commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
8. The ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
9. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
