About the Job
The Superintendent is accountable for the installation and execution of large-scale electrical projects.
**DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:**
- Provide leadership in managing safety and environmental programs.
- Oversee job costing, quality reporting, forecasting, and productivity.
- Coordinate all labor, materials, and equipment.
- Complete field administration tasks, including timesheets, quantity reports, purchasing, and job diaries.
- Organize and coordinate activities involving subcontractors.
- Implement and monitor the construction plan, encompassing scheduling and logistics.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop field personnel, comprising over 15 electricians.
- Participate in field work activities and demonstrate willingness to utilize tools when necessary.
- Collaborate with support departments, including prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
- Possession of a Journeyman Trade Certification in a related construction trade is advantageous.
- A documented history of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget constraints is essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage diverse tasks under multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant Building Codes is expected.
- Preferred certifications include OSHA 30 and CPR First Aid.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
- The position necessitates working in various environmental conditions based on job location, time of year, and weather elements such as heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- The ability to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns) is required.
- The employee's weight and personal equipment must not exceed the weight limit of the ladder (Class 1-250 lbs., Class 1A-300 lbs.).
- Personal protective equipment (including hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves) must always be worn, and respirators are to be utilized when necessary.
- Climbing ladders and steep stairs, along with activities such as crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching, are required. The ability to routinely lift heavy objects exceeding 50 pounds and to push and pull objects is also necessary.
