We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Superintendent for our growing construction company. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is driven, ambitious, and ready to take on challenging local projects. The Permanent Superintendent will oversee all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing daily operations of construction projects, ensuring all work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
2. Managing and coordinating with a team of workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
3. Implementing and maintaining safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with all local and federal regulations.
4. Performing hands-on tasks such as epoxy overlay, high friction surface treatment, concrete repairs, epoxy & chemical grout injection, shotcrete, shotblasting, and high-pressure water blasting cleaning.
5. Overseeing joint sealant replacement, flow fill slop wall repair, carbon & glass fiber wrap, and corrosion-resistant coatings.
6. Managing concrete surface coatings, penetrating sealer, crack sealing, and expansion joints.
7. Ensuring all projects comply with Department of Transportation (DoT) standards and regulations.
8. Regularly communicating with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure project progress and quality.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on the skills listed in the responsibilities section.
2. Proven experience with epoxy overlay, high friction surface treatment, concrete repairs, epoxy & chemical grout injection, shotcrete, shotblasting, high-pressure water blasting cleaning, joint sealant replacement, flow fill slop wall repair, carbon & glass fiber wrap, corrosion-resistant coatings, concrete surface coatings, penetrating sealer, crack sealing, and expansion joints.
3. Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DoT) standards and regulations.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee and coordinate a team of workers and subcontractors.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively address any issues that arise during construction.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
7. A commitment to safety, with knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in the construction industry.
8. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
9. Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding manual tasks.
