Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all operations on the construction site and ensuring that work is done safely, on time, and within budget.
- Supervising crews of various trades such as electric, plumbing, and mechanical.
- Preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking reports.
- Developing and implementing quality control programs.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
- Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets.
- Effectively liaising with clients, construction professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Implementing cost control measures to ensure project profitability.
- Managing project activities to meet project objectives, including procurement, scheduling, productivity, quality, and safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
- Proven experience in supervising crews and managing construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and construction documents.
- Excellent ability to manage project scheduling and budgeting.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of safety management principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in construction management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
