We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team for a great project just Northwest of Dallas! This role is a pivotal position within our company, responsible for overseeing all aspects the assigned project to completion and turnover.
Responsibilities:
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and standards
- Review and interpret project blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure project accuracy
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Identify, analyze, and respond to risk factors throughout the life of a project
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role
- Strong understanding of construction operations and processes
- Proficient with construction-related software programs
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong safety record and ability to enforce safety standards
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to resolve job site conflicts
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations
