We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing and executing large-scale commercial, healthcare, higher education, and K12 construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Manage the day-to-day work of the construction project in a safe and efficient manner
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Review work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules or plans as needed
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry
- Proven track record of managing commercial, healthcare, higher education, and K12 construction projects
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment
- Proficient in construction management software packages
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is preferred
- Relevant certification (e.g. Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associated General Contractor (AGC) certificate) is a plus
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
