About the Job
High School Diploma and or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as food.
Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo.
Demonstrate exemplary customer service.
Orientation to Detail.
Demonstrate good judgement and discretion.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to organize work, time, and self.
Ability to work cooperatively with SAFB staff, volunteers, partners, and clients.
Ability to present a professional demeanor under a variety of conditions.
Schedule flexibility, work weekends as needed.
Possession of a current Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.
Access to reliable transportation.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hand and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear and smell. Employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment is a combination of traveling in, operating a motorized vehicle, and unloading delivery of product outdoors. The noise level in the work environment will vary depending on location but is usually moderate.
